It is our pleasure to share with you the first episode of our Women in Leadership roundtable series moderated by Kristin Steffen-Zonsius, former Senior Director of Faculty Affairs at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. The idea for this series was born from the desire to continue to expand upon the conversation that started at the school of medicine’s Women in Medicine (WIM) Female Leadership panel. Together, the round table guests offer richness and diversity in experience and perspectives. Tune in as they discuss their personal journeys, moments of grit and resilience, and what it means to be a leader in their personal lives and professional careers.
In this episode of the Women in Leadership series, our guests are Joann Strobbe, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Associate Dean for finance and administration for the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, and Shirley Denson-Robinson, Administrative Assistant at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Our guests discuss the impact of the medical school for the Las Vegas community, life pivots they have had to navigate, taking risks, and soaring in the face of challenges.
